Republica salbaticelor - Second Amendment
By rienderien on February 24th, 2009
“2. Upon losing her identity, a wild lass has the right and the responsibility to sit in the back and think about what she has done” .
PST! Wild lass Oana! O2 spelt Wembley ex stadium! Go figure, I spent the entire weekend wondering why figuring that out was important…Rog Waters’ Dark Side of the Moon concert on O2, London, [...]
Amprentare? Yes, please!
By rienderien on February 24th, 2009
Between the Heavens
By rienderien on February 24th, 2009
Today I am back home from three days in the UK. On the plane back I noticed again how completely wonderful it is to be able to fly…Above the foamy clouds and beneath the blue skies. There’s no sensation to compare with this, suspended animation, a state of bliss…
The same blissfull memories: flying over the Alps [...]
One world?
By rienderien on February 20th, 2009
It just occured to me! This “one world” that Obama, Bono and many other people of our times talk about is our world, the “civilized” one.
What we mean by this “one big and globalized world” is just that we, the euro-american population, expect to go now anywhere, in any country whatsoever on this planet and know what we shall [...]
Vantoasa (green philandering in the grey city)
By rienderien on February 19th, 2009
Pause
By rienderien on February 17th, 2009
Three days of non-being… Strangely enough I have been living them - I remember all three.
On Sunday it was strangely absurd, an unlucky day where one could think (after being pulled over by the police three times) that maybe, if things can also go so wrong, that one is generally very lucky…Anyway, I had to catch [...]
Poezie de la Inorog
By rienderien on February 15th, 2009
In ciocul asta de rubin
Soarele scoboara lin,
Iata cum devin mai crin.
Eu merg sa par afin-
prin chinuri ma inchin hain
si fie-mi pasul
alcalin
Cel cu [...]
Republica Salbaticelor (in the making)
By rienderien on February 14th, 2009
Oana and I are the first two proud and wild citizens in a brand new republic! It is called the Republic of Wild Lassies.
The citizens have decided until now on the hymn of the republic and on the fact that it will have a Constitution.
The hymn is, naturally, Born to Be Wild, by Steppenwolf.
The First Amendment of the Constitution is:
All lassies [...]

By rienderien on February 12th, 2009

Why have a Romanian Medical System (1)?
By rienderien on February 9th, 2009
First, because we are a EU country - this means that we needed one such system in order to get into the EU and now we need one to continue to be inside the European Union, i.e. in a moderately civilized country. And Romanians supposedly want to stay in the EU.
The above is probably how a Romanian politician thinks about the question.
Secondly, [...]
